PLA, Polylactic Acid, is a biodegradable thermoplastic polymer obtained from corn starch, potato, yucca or sugar cane. It is by far the most used material in 3D FDM printing. This material has evolved considerably from its beginnings, to the material we have today, an easy-to-use filament capable of covering most of our needs. The special additives of this PLA give you the property to change colour when it is heated. It is enough with the heat of the hand so that the change takes place, once at room temperature recovers its original colour.
No need to use hot bed.
It requires the use of lacquer on the printing surface.
